OPEN EAR is the newest hearing aid style. A tiny tube or speaker enters the ear canal leaving the ear mostly open. It is connected to a small curved case that sits on top of the ear. This style is very popular with those that have a mild or high frequency hearing loss.

BEHIND-IN-THE-EAR style is the most versatile hearing aid style. It can be worn by all types of hearing loss. It's small case sits behind the ear and it couples to a custom earpiece that fits inside the ear.

IN-THE-EAR hearing aid style fits into the ear canal and fills the concha bowl of the ear. It is also available in a smaller HALF-SHELL-IN-THE-EAR which only fills part of the concha bowl.

IN-THE-CANAL hearing aid style fits into the ear canal and only a small portion is visible in the concha bowl of the ear.

COMPLETELY-IN-THE-EAR is the least visible style. It fits deeply into the ear canal.

HEARING DEVICES COME IN MANY SIZES AND STYLES. More people are wearing hearing devices and they're smaller than ever. You can't tell how advanced a hearing device is by it's style or size. The size or style is just the package it's in it's the engine inside the hearing device that makes the difference. The smaller styles are less visible, the larger styles are a little more noticeable but tend to have more room for additional features and a larger battery and receiver (speaker).
